Hi Gene,
So wonderful to hear from you. Yes, Tom Conseen is a cousin to me. Tom and his wife live just outside Pryor. Dinna Mae lives in Tulsa and Ann lives in Denver, Colo.
Tom's dad was also a Frank (he would be a grandson to the Frank who died in 1899). When I was pretty small, I remember stopping at a cafe right on the main street in Locust Grove where we would meet Frank Conseen, he worked for the Locust Grove sheriff's office. To imagine the present day Locust Grove as a battlefield baffles me, but I think right outside of town there was a battle at Piped Springs. The Elder Frank Conseen lived south of Locust Grove and I don't know if that was an allotment site or not, but was told... where the Girl Scout campground is, was a part of Elder Frank Conseen's allotment. That area became famous or infamous when Gene Hart was accused of murdering some young girls there, made national news, as the local Indian people helped him hide out for months.

My email address is: cwy1947@yahoo.com and would be so pleased to hear from you.

Donna
