James S. Allen - supervised the planning of Wapanucka Female Manual Labor School in 1851 to 1852. The school was also Wapanucka Institute or Rock Academy.

W. D. Bailey came in from Texas in 1873 and located in Pickens County near Chickasha. In 1874 he married Matilda Buckholts, Choctaw. A.A. Brooks, T.M. Jones, G.M. Ladd, T.J. Smith, John Hopman, N.C. Thomas and D.B. Shepherd were farmers in Chickasha in 1899

John Harpole Carr - born in Lebanon, TN, came to Chickasaw Nation in 1847 as superintendent of the construction of Bloomfield Academy. He chose the site and construction began in 1852. http://www.bourlandcivilwar.com/tempRevCarrIndianTerritory.htm

Jerry Carson, born at Fort Gibson on April 15, 1846, settled at Fort Arbuckle, then Erin Springs, Jerry Carson's father, Lindy Carson, was a brother of Kit Carson, the famous Indian fighter. .... Erin Springs was called "Elm Springs" before 1878, and is mentioned in the Civil War era records.

Jim Colbert and Joe Camp settled in the Florence community.

C. M. Coppedge - first superintendent of Colbert (Collins) Institute, located at Perryville in Pontotoc county and was established in 1854.

J.L. Jordan came to the area later to become Ardmore in 1872, but moved to 8 miles southeast of Marietta. In 1893 he married Mollie Love, daughter of Overton Love. He was a city recorder and permit collector in the Chickasaw Nation.

Emmit McCaughey, livestock owner born in Mississippi, and Jerry Carson, born at Fort Gibson on April 15, 1846, settled at Fort Arbuckle, then Erin Springs, Jerry Carson's father, Lindy Carson, was a brother of Kit Carson, the famous Indian fighter. ..... At that time only two stores were there on a gravel road, OK State Hwy 76, within sight of the Washita River and the famous Murray mansion: Frank Murray m-1868 at Fort Arbuckle to Alzira McCaughey (part of the Mayes-Mitchell family) who owned, and could play, the only piano in Indian Territory. ..."

The Muncriefs settled at Old Beef Creek. ... later called Maysville http://www.okgenweb.org/~okgarvin/towns/maysville.html .... Yours truly attended high school in Maysville 1956-1957, then was transferred to Elmore City High for last two years of high school. We never moved, they just moved the kids who had attended a one-room school called "Davis Dist #47".

Robert L. Murry came into Indian Territory in 1857 and settled 4 miles north of Colbert in Panola County. He married Louie Collins, Chickasaw, daughter of Dan Collins. He was sheriff of Panola County, served in the Chickasaw Senate, and later became a U.S. Indian Policeman. ... This may be the "Murry" in a 1860 letter to Bourland. ... a new lead.

Smith Paul, T.F. Waite, George Gardner and T.A. McClure settled on ranches near Pauls Valley.

Reverend J.C. Robinson - in 1851 was director of the Manual Training School for Boys near Tishomingo.

Joe T. Roff - came to Indian Territory in 1871. The town of Roff, Oklahoma is name for him. .... son of Charles Liptka Roff, a major in Bourland's Regt, who lived one mile from Col. James Bourland.
