Helping my sister research her 1st husbands family, the James' of Leflore County OK (Skullyville County, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory). Have noticed several James' listed with the 1st Choctaw & Chickasaw Mounted Rifles. Some names I see are familar. Was curious to find out if Davis James (married to a Permelia) could have been in the war. Footnote only has up to G surnames for 1st Choctaw Mounted Rifles. If there is anyone who could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
