Hi Jim,

I read that you said Thomas Fox Taylor is your gg grandfather. I'm doing some research on him - in particular that he was a Freemason - and at one point in his life was slated to be executed in the north Georgia town of Hightower. But he fled to OK. His wife and son were then to be executed in his absence but the night before they were rescued by Masons and taken to OK. I'm trying to find out if this story is true or not and what his crime was and when it happened. It was cited in the book The Cry of the Eagle - a treasure hunting book of Cherokee gold in north GA.

I am a Mason myself and a novelist. I'm possibly thinking about including Fox Taylor in my novel. My current novel is called Crown of Serpents (www.crownofserpents.com) dealing with Iroquois Indian/Revolutionary War legends and history but in a present day mystery thriller.

Thank you,
