Joseph Krebbs in Slave Schedules

An article in the Chronicles of OK by Muriel Wright at http://digital.library.okstate.edu/chronicles/v008/v008p315.html says that "San Bois" is French for "without wood" but the Choctaw spelled it "Sambai" and pronounced it "Sambi" which would explain, perhaps, the spelling below.

From the Choctaw Slave Schedules at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cenfiles/it/1860/choctaw/slave/?cj=1&o_xid=0001231185&o_lid=0001231185

I can never get tables to line up right but I'm sure you'll figure it out! ;-) Joe Krebbs has eight slaves. His first one says age 5 but perhaps should be 50? Otherwise, only three of the eight are adults.

Start Choctaw Nation in the County of Samboy [San Bois]

PG SH COL LN NAMES OF SLAVE OWNERS NO. AGE SEX COLOR
29 404B RIGHT 15 Krebbs, Joseph 1 5 M B
29 404B RIGHT 16 Krebbs, Joseph 1 40 F B
29 404B RIGHT 17 Krebbs, Joseph 1 30 M M
29 404B RIGHT 18 Krebbs, Joseph 1 26 F M
29 404B RIGHT 19 Krebbs, Joseph 1 12 F M
29 404B RIGHT 20 Krebbs, Joseph 1 8 F M
29 404B RIGHT 21 Krebbs, Joseph 1 6 F M
29 404B RIGHT 22 Krebbs, Joseph 1 10/12 F M

I don't see any names that look like "Brebbs" or "Rubbs" so I'm sticking with my theory that they should be "Krebbs" in the text "A Southern Record".
