Re: GAR in Oklahoma
In Response To: GAR in Oklahoma ()

Hello Terri.

Thank you so much for your response & help. Can you tell me how to obtain the McLoud GAR post 65 "papers"??

I live in Az. but I have a cousin who may help me there.

I have his pension records with his death date. june or july 15, 1905 mc loud/newalla but no mention of where he was buried.

I hope I don't have to, but if I can't find his place of burial, I can't really afford it, but this faded photo of him with his medal pinned to his suit is driving me to honor him & he deserves for me to buy a plot & have a headstone placed for him.

Does OHS do interlibrary loan?? I would be happy to delve thru a ton of newspapers page by page just to find him. I did that & found his father after many years of searching..

thanks again, Carol in AZ.
