Sad news regarding the Oklahoma Historical Society Marker Program. They are not currently accepting new applications. Please visit http://www.okhistory.org/outreach/historicmarkers.html and you can contact Kathy Dickson, the Director of Museum & Historic Sites Division of the OHS directly. I am sure that it is strictly a budgetary problem. Perhaps if private donations fund the marker and the placement of the marker, then the OHS would consider it. You and several of the other members certainly have all the research completed...Good luck.
