In Response To: P.N. Blackstone ()

Hi, Ken - Pleasant Napoleon Blackstone (P.N.) was listed by Cooper at the Battle of Honey Springs. What I don't know is if he was a soldier or a supplier who just happened to be there when the battle began. I question his status as he was referred to as "Mr." rather than as a man with military rank. He was eventually a prominent business man in Muskogee. He was my paternal GG-uncle. His younger brother (my G-grandfather,) Robert Estel Blackstone did serve with Watie at age 20. I have a letter written from him to his mother while he was at Boggy Depot and the letter was addressed to her at Wheelock.
