Re: Oklahoma UCV Camps in Garvin and Grady Countie

Garvin County towns and villages: Elmore City, Erin Springs, Foster, Hennepin, Katie, Lindsay (2nd largest), Mayesvile, Paoli, PAULS VALLEY (seat), Parnell, Stratford, Wynnewood

Grady County towns and villages: Alex, Amber, Bradley, Bridge Creek, CHICKASHA (seat), Middleburg, Minco,
Ninnekah, Norge, Pocasset, Rush Springs, Tuttle, Verdin [and in modern day Oklahoma, the McClain county town of Blanchard crosses over into Grady county]

I'm fairly certain there was a camp in Pauls Valley which was founded and settled by several veterans. As "independent" as some of the men were it is possible there were camps (or mini-camps) in Rush Springs, Lindsay, and Mayesville. (The founder of a former SCV camp regaled us with stories of his grandfather's cohorts who nearly always came to blows over whose credit or fault it was that certain battles were won or lost.)
