Glisan's 1874 book about Ft Arbuckle

From my bibliography:

Glisan, Rodney L., JOURNAL OF ARMY LIFE, San Francisco CA, A.L. Bancroft (1874), 530pp, republished 2005 by the University of Michigan Library at Ann Arbor. Glisan was a physician at Fort Arbuckle from 1851 until 1853. He dedicated 88 pages in 6 chapters (numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10) to Fort Arbuckle. Not indexed but has an extensive table of contents.

The University of Michigan Library included the following teasers for this book. ..Notice that nothing about Indian Territory nor Fort Arbuckle is mentioned even though Fort Arbuckle is the subject of 88 of 530 pages in 6 of 33 chapters: i.e., chapter numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. I suppose the Univ. of Mich. skipped Fort Arbuckle and Indian Territory since the preface does not mention either place. I think the preface was written for readers in the Pacific northwest where Glisan lived.

"Glisan" was mistranscribed as "Gilsan" in some Indian Territory documents. ..Interestingly, Googling "Rodney Gilsan" will bring up "Rodney Glisan" info. ..I've been working on identifying every person mentioned in my book, and am surprised many times a day. Some names take a minute while other names can take hours. From my 200-p Name Index.

Rodney Glisan on Wikipedia. ..The article is about R. Glisan Sr. but a photo of his son is posted. Evidently, R. Glisan Jr. was an accomplished photographer, doing Ansel Adams-type work. Ancestry.com shows several photos of R. Glisan Sr.

Glisan enjoyed writing this book. ..He related Choctaw community scenes, a Choctaw ball game, a Kickapoo ball game, catching a 40-lb catfish in Wild Horse Creek, etc. ..He told a story about Marcy making a deal with Indians to have his men sleep with their wives ... At that point I continued downloading the six chapters rather than read the rest of that tantalizing tale. ..And yes, I will read the whole shebang after it is printed.
.
I downloaded 6 chapters devoted to Fort Arbuckle plus Glisan's rather extensive table of contents. ..That means I have seven files in pdf format to share. ..And yes, I will gladly share.
