Next spring, University of North Texas Press will publish "Civil War General and Indian Fighter James M. Williams: Leader of the First Kansas Colored Volunteer Infantry and the 8th U.S. Cavalry". This should interest those of us who study the war in the IT, as the 1st Kansas spent a lot of time in the territory. I haven't found any online links yet, just the page in their catalog.
