Carroll,
Robert L Cochran family lore say he was killed by Fed troops in his front yard-so he and likely a wife are buried in back in a unmarked site.

For what ever reason the station was not burned--O.H.S.Vol 76 pg 437 William L Cochran
came to Pontotoc and made an effort to re-open the trading post of his uncle , Robert L Cochran.
However by 1869 it was closed and the post office discontinued, and old Pontotoc passed into oblivion.
Frisco:Old Stonewall opened it first post office in 1874 Dec.

William Cochran lived(very well known, mayor businessman) in nowday Stonewall and died there he is buried by his father A.O. Cochran in Frisco.

The Cochran Cemetery is marked by a pipe fence and is close to the site original Robert L Cochran
Trading Post. Undoubtedly R.L.Cochran is buried there in an unmarked grave.
Other traces of the past are the old rock crossing on Clear Boggy Creek that is still in use today, some of the stones from the foundation of the old Colbert Institute, and several cedar trees that
remain as giant sentinels guarding the past.-- pg 445

Colbert Institute--shown on map near Cochran Clear Boggy Creek--burned-reopened abt 1868

Colbert Home--burned down T2N R6E 12sec.

Both Winchester Colbert and Robert L Cochran were my Grand fathers however no information
I have will be the answer you are looking for--Ken has a O.H.S.--E-Mail copy of this I sent him.
