I did attend the conference and it was very interesting. I met John Phillips, of course, and a couple of the officers of the Texas Map Society -- Dr. Gerald Saxon, president, and Ben Huseman, secretary, who are both from UT-Arlington. The 2015 conference will be in Galveston and the topic is Civil War Maps. I was very flattered to be informally asked if I would be interested in doing a presentation at that conference -- so we'll see if that pans out. I got to talk for a few minutes with Dr. Bill Corbett of NSU-Tahlequah who did a presentation on the military roads in Indian Territory.
