Deneale's Regiment of Choctaw Warriors was organized for service in Virginia by Col. George E. Deneale. The organization reached about battalion-size. Through the influence of Brig Gen Albert Pike, the unit was prevented from leaving the Choctaw Nation and essentially disintegrated, Deneale returning to Richmond. All equipment and supplies of the unit were confiscated by Choctaw troops. This unit never saw action. Some of the Choctaw who enrolled in this regiment/battalion subsequently joined other Choctaw units.
