I never had the pleasure of studying under Dr. Hale, either as an
undergraduate or as a graduate student at OSU. I did, however,
listen to a lecture or two of his. I was able to talk with him while
he was researching the 3rd Texas Cavalry and he always had time
and a smile. His paid obituary was in the Sunday Tulsa World and I
am sure it can be found on their site. He will be missed!
