Ken and Charles, i would add one more unit to your extensive list...that of Major Charles L. Roff's Texans. Roff's troops, which included my great-great grandfather, Lt.Robert Ware Thompson, were Company A, Bourland's Border Regiment, out of Cooke County, Texas. They were stationed near Mud Creek and Mud Point, southwest of Fort Arbuckle. I have muster rolls for my R.W. Thompson from Camps Simon(s), Nicholson and Steele.
