Great thought. I wondered, too, about that but have no copy of that book.
I mention such articles from Chronicling America, as most of us haven't
heard of their existence nor had the chance to read them. Too much has
been made of the OR's, which are very useful. But, as Steve Warren and I
realized some 20 years ago, when researching his award winning, Last Raid
at Cabin Creek, the OR's are self serving. No one wants to admit that the escort
troops and teamsters were drinking and that the c.o. ran. So, any source
material to add to the OR's or refute them, are always welcome.
