Has anyone ever seen any reference to Gen. Watie ever having a uniform? In John C. Waugh's book "Sam Bell Maxey and the Confederate Indians", he describes Gen. Watie as wearing a black plantation coat with gray flannel trousers, knee high boots and a black slouch hat. Maybe that was all he had. Thanks...
