Redbank Creek

There is a Redbank Creek highway bridge on OK 9 (also US 59 here) which is located 2.3 miles west of the OK 9 intersection with US 59 and US 271, this intersection being about two miles west of Spiro. The state highway designation sign for the creek being crossed reads "REDBANK CREEK." The Beale bridge across Redbank Creek was located only about 80 yards south of OK 9 here. The old military road had just passed the historic hamlet of Ward, lying about 1/2 mile east of the bridge.
