Under "Kansas Memory", I find, Asbury Thornhill to the Editor of the National Tribune". As a member of Co. D, 2nd
Kansas Cavalry, he was captured at the Flat Rock Creek massacre and briefly describes that and his subsequent
captivity at Camp Fort. The other gem is. "Henry A. Strong Correspondence". These letters describe his service
in the 12th Kansas. He survived the attack on the J.R. Williams. He also highly praises the soldiers of the 1st and
2nd Kansas Colored Infantry Regiments. Both of these entries can be downloaded off the KSHS Kansas Memory
site. I haven't finished the late Whit Edwards' marvelous tome, "though, these might already be in there.
