Guerrillas Ben Frohman and Zay Coulter

Does anyone have any information about Ben Frohman or Zay Coulter? They were supposedly well-known guerrillas operating in Kentucky during the Civil War. They were part of a party that attacked my my g-g-g-grandfather, Lorenzo Dow Brown, Captian, Company D, 54th Ky Mouted Infantry, at his home near Van Buren in modern-day Western Anderson County. Brown escaped but his finger (or thumb, depending on whose account) was shot off.
