John C. Lewis served in the Civil War. He was Confederate Private in (1st) Company B. 5th Kentucky Mounted Infantry. Confederate States Army, Enlisted October 25, 1861, and on the muster roll of this company for May and June 1862. He served till his enlistment was out, Oct. 20 1862.

His wife Loucinda filed for Confederate Pension July 12 1912 and was allowed.

My question is, after the 5th disbanded in 1862 did they reenlist in another unit? Does any one have anything on John c. Lewis after 1862?
