7th KY Inf Reg organized at Camp Burnett, near Clinton, hickman County, in Sept 1861 - 1st Co K became Co E, 13th AR Inf Reg. 2nd Co K was formerly Co C, 2nd Confederate Inf Reg.

13th AR Inf Regt organized 7/29/1861 - mustered into Confederate service for 12 months on 7/23/1861 - Co K, 7th KY Inf Reg assigned as 2nd Co E on 4/13/1862 - reorganized for two yrs or the war 4/29/1862 [probably just to bring the unit up to strength and the men may have had AR kinfolk] - field consolidation with 15th Inf Reg during much of 1863 - field consolidation with 5th Inf Reg from August 1863 to April 9, 1865 - Additional field consolidation with 1st, 2nd, 15th and 24th Inf Regs and 3rd Confederate Inf Reg in early 1865 - Consolidated with 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th, 19th [Dawson's], and 24th Inf Regs and designated 1st Inf Reg Consolidated at Smithfield, NC 4/9/1865.
