6th Kentucky Cavalry (USV) Battle Flag

Did the battle flag of the 6th Kentucky Cav, US, survive the War? On April 6, 1865, the 6th was deployed as rear guard of Croxton's First Brigade, First Division of Wilson's Cavalry in Alabama, at Sipsey Mills. The regiment was assaulted by elements of CS Gen Wirt Adams' command, and escalating attacks resulted in the rout of the 6th Kentucky. In the melees of that afternoon, Maj. Wm Fidler, Commanding officer of the 6th, was unhorsed and separated from the regiment and later captured by a civilian. The regiment was driven back to the position of the 2nd Michigan Cavalry after abandoning the supply train of the brigade to Adams' rebels.
