Recently received a copy of "North & South", the Magazine of Civil War Conflict, Vol. 1-Number 7, including a very interesting and informative article by James M. Prichard, about the Cumberland Ford tragedy. Jim Prichard is the Research Room Supervisor for the Kentucky State Archives. The questions about what happened to my ggrandfather, Noah Taylor and his son, John, and others of the Union "Home Guards", sentenced to death as "bushwhackers", can finally be laid to rest.
