Forrest's Kentucky Brigade was surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama, and paroled at Columbus, Mississippi. Small numbers were surrendered in other places, such as those in hospitals in Mississippi and Alabama, and also those in the Invalid or Retired Corps. Members of Cobb's Kentucky Battery were surrendered as part of the Kentucky Brigade.
