Todd,

The WBTS info in the KDLA is not as well indexed as the collections in the TSA. The KDLA does, however, have all the NA CSR microfilms for KY soldiers. You might want to also check the microfilmed records of the Kentucky Confederate Home in Pewee Valley. I think KDLA has them - I know the Ky. Hist. Soc. downtown has them.

There are records in the Mil. Hist. Mus. that are not in the KDLA. There are a *few* original muster rolls there. These records are pretty well indexed now.

Another source is the Boone National Guard Military Records & Research Library at 1121 Louisville Rd. in Frankfort. They have many records that are not found elsewhere (unless there are now copies in the KMHM - they have been working on this) - some muster rolls, the original manuscripts of the Adjutant General's Report (which contain entries and info not found in the printed version), original pre-war records of the Ky. State Guard, the original files of the veterans grave register done in the 1930s, etc. I think the index to these records has been improved lately, and this source is definitely worth a visit.

Happy hunting!

Geoff
