I have begun a project of re-indexing the CSA pensions given by the State of Oklahoma beginning in 1915. I am using the original documents on microfilm as my source. I have completed the first 1000 pension applications. The original index compiled by the Oklahoma Genealogical Society in 1969 is so loaded with errors that it is confusing and misleading for researchers.

Pensioners include CSA vets living in Oklahoma and widows of CSA vets who may or may not be buried here in Oklahoma.

This is an ongoing project and I get a little further along with it each day. When I am finished, it will be put in printed format and will be available for sale.
