I am at a dead end with one gr-grandfather, Woodford KELLIS of Kentucky. He would have been about mid-30's at the start of the Civil War. He was born in 1824, and was still listed in the 12th Census of Warren Co, KY, in 1900. I don't know when he actually died. He was married in Sumner Co., KY, in 1845. Some of his children were born in Hardin Co., KY.

Is this enough to go on to try and find out if he served in some Kentucky unit?
