The CWSS is the Civil War Soldier and Sailor System at

Very handy for looking up ancestors on either side. I would guess that Missouri has some sort of State Archives with records for their Confederate soldiers. I know TN and Kentucky do. They should be able to give you that info on the Missouri Board.
