I am searching for any information regarding "David Newton (Newt) Sharp." Mr. Sharp was in the 15th. KY. Volunteer Infantry during the civil war. He was in Company A, as a 1st. Sargeant in the beginning, and later as an Adjutant after a promotion at the battle of "Little Round Top." His unit originated in Shelby County, KY. What did Mr. Sharp do to get the promotion to Adjutant? Who was his wife, children, parents? Any additional information would be most helpful. I am also trying to locate a picture of this man if at all possible, during his civil war days (before or after will suffice as well). All help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
