I maintain an internet site entitled “Kentucky’s German-Americans in the Civil War” located at http://www.geocities.com/kygermans/. This site contains the names of over 1,100 German-born men from Kentucky who served in military units during the Civil War. I would like to add names and photos to the site and ask that anyone who had a native German ancestor or knows of any German who resided in Kentucky (1861–1865) and served in the military (for any state) to provide to me their name and unit, and if possible a photo.
