Gentlemen and Ladies,
I have a farm in Shelby county on Rte 362 (the road that parallels Hwy60/Shelbyville Rd to the north), and would like to determine if there was any cavalry movement down this ridge, or any camps/pickets in the area.
What are your favorite accounts of the cavalry action as Buell came out of Louisville, especially the action on the Shelbyville road? Is there a good reference for the Oxmoor area - Middletown cavalry clashes?
