At the urging of many Illinois CW researchers and especially with the encouragement of the CWRT of Chicago, I've just opened the Illinois in the Civil War Message Board at History-Sites.Com .

Amazingly, even Rootsweb/Ancestry.Com has not provided a discussion site for Illinois in the Civil War, so this resource is a long time coming and hopefully will be a very active message board.

For those of you with interest and/or ancestors in Illinois during the Civil War, I hope you'll visit and participate in our discussions.
