The "Confederate Home Messenger," the monthly newsletter from 1907-1911, was reprinted in a paperback book a few years ago. Check with McDowell Publications,

These newsletters do not (generally) have much info on the soldiers' military records, and since it started in 1907, it does not have Robert Duncan in it.

However, the manuscript records and listings of the Confederate Home are held by the Kentucky Historical Society and the Boone National Guard Research Library in Frankfort (one place has the originals, the other has microfilm - I can't recall just now which has which).
