Ky Union Volunteer Cavarly Soldier

Searching for the whereabouts of the mass grave or the gravesite for my 2nd great grandfather who was in the 3rd Battalion 8th KY Volunteer Cavarly Regiment (Union) .
He was a Private and was mustered in July 28,1862 and
died from disease while in the service on April 30th , 1863 while in Clarksville, Tennessee.
I was told at one time to get his military records and that would say where he was buried at.
I did just that and there is nothing in his records stating where he is buried at just the city and state
that he died in.
I have done some research as well as talk to some family
members and some believe that he maybe in a mass grave because so many men did die of disease as to where that mass grave would be they don't know.
Can someone tell me more about the mass graves and are these graves in the same place as to where these soldiers died or tell me who I can contact or where to go to see
where his grave maybe and is there a list of names for all the men who are buried in the mass graves.
I do hope to hear from someone on this matter any advice I can get is so greatly appreciated.
Thank You for your time, Sincerely Donna Bowman
