Re: Clay's or Jenkins Batteries

Julie,

Col. Robert Trigg was commander of the 54th. He was in temporary command of a brigade at chickamauga but was relieved of command of the brigade and later relieved also of his command of the 54th. And yes , this Trigg is the same one at Saltville. As to these batteries, I can find no official record of them. I have researched the official records "The War of the Rebellion" but it is so extensive I have not come upon anything on the batteries yet. I have beeen researching a little at a time. I am a reenactor and my group is the re-activated Barr's Artillery mentioned in the post. Our site is http://barrsbattery.tripod.com
