My information that Company A 5th Kentucky from Pendleton County fought at Perryville is from Ed Porter Thompson's Orphan brigade book. The Pendleton County unit appeared to fight there, but took no casualties. This unit appears to be the 2nd COmpany A because Perryville is their first battle.
