Previous posts from 2004 described Confederate Kentuckians at Gettysburg, but it appears a few also wore the Federal blue. Company C of the 27th Indiana regiment, which lost heavily during a charge at the base of Culp's Hill on the morning of 3 July 1863, is reported to have been recruited from seven Indiana counties and one (unidentified) county in Kentucky. Does anyone have additional information?
