Any Kentuckians at Gettysburg would have had to be serving in another state's unit, most probably a Virginia unit.. There were no Kentucky units at Gettysburg. In the spring of 1862 Kentucky units serving in the east were sent west. Divided loyalties were the curse of Kentuckians in the Civil War. Many Kentuckians from border counties stepped over state lines and enlisted in that state's Confederate units and I am sure the same happened in Union units. I shall try to find something in my references relating to these men
