I have been working on a master casualty list for the Confederate forces at the battle of Murfreesboro/Stone’s River. The main source for this research has been National Archives Microfilm Publication M836: C.S.A. Casualties - List and Narrative Reports 1861-1865, Roll 4, Tennessee and Texas.
The casualty list for Hanson's brigade is present on the National Archives microfilm, except for the 9th Kentucky Infantry. A notation on the report states that the regiment was detached at the time the report was submitted, but did show that the regiment sustained 1 killed and 28 wounded in the battle.
Listed below are the casualties that I have been able to identify thus far. Corrections, additional information regarding nature of wound, and particularly missing names wouild be greatly appreciated.I respectfully ask that you cite sources which will be noted on the master list.
I might add that while the regiment's casualties were reported as i killed and 28 wounded, that number is certainly on the low side.
My Thanks and GOD's Blessings
Lanny Smith
