I am seeking information about 5th Kentucky Infantry, CSA for a book I am researching. I am looking for biographies, pictures, rosters, letters, stories, regimental history, etc. I have not seen much written specifically on the 5th. My GGGrandfather, John Martin Franklin, as well as other ancestors served with the 5th and I feel this group of men need to be recognized. I would appreciate hearing from other descendants or others with specific research information.
