I am interested in the following regarding the 5th:

1.) The 12-month men were mustered out in Hazel Green, KY on what date?
2.) Approximately, how many companies were merged? Were new companies created?
3.) Was the 5th Kentucky Mounted Infantry formed from this regiment?
4.) Did some of these men go directly into the 10th Yankee Chasers or were they in other units first?
5.) How many different units put memebers of the 5th on their muster rolls, like the 7th Confederate Cavalry Battalion?
