My great grandfather fought for the Union in the Civil War he first enlisted in the Kentucky 20th Infantry as a Lt. He was out for a while then went back into the KY 48th Mounted Infantry as a Captain. I am searching for any photos that anyone might have of any of these regiments - We know after the war he was married and moved to IL where he later died (we think in 1884) but we can't find where. Please if there is anyone out there with any info please help. He was in the Dycusburg area when he got married in 1865 to Gracie Gray. He mustered out of the service in Bowling Green KY. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
