I am looking for info on James B. Wigginton who used an alias of Dawson Bowles. I have conflicting information on enlistment dates for this man. One account states that he enlisted in 1861 and served throughout the war while the other (using the alias), shows that he enlisted in 1864.

Does anyone have any info on the 4th that would confirm either date?

Also, the one account that lists the 1861 date, goes on to say that he was captured July 30, 1864 while crossing the Chattahoochee River and was sent to Andersonville. I haven't found any records listing either name at Andersonville but there were some men from this unit captured at the same time. Any info on this would also be appreciated!
