There is no individual named Edgar Dykeman in the Roll of Honor and no Dykemans at all in Mound City National Cemetery in Illinois, which is where the Union dead from Columbus were taken after the war for proper burial.

There is no individual named Samuel Jenks in the Roll of Honor and no Jenkses at all in Shiloh National Cemetery in Tennessee, which is where the Union dead from Shiloh were taken to be properly buried. The nearby National Cemetery at Corinth, Mississippi, is also without anybody by the names of Jenks.

According to the Roll of Honor Mound City National Cemetery contains 2,645 unknown Union soldiers and Shiloh National Cemetery contains 2,359 unknown Union soldiers.
