Re: 9th KY - C.S.A. - Casualty Report - Murfreesbo

I have conflicting data on Andrew McMillen who is listed as being with the 9th Kentucky Calvary, Company G. Some sources say this was a Union regiment while others say confederate. Internet sources I have googled place both Union & CSA units by this name at the battle of Fort Sands & Fort Boyle in Hardin County, Kentucky during the Christmas Raid of John Hunt Morgan in 1862. It is interesting to note that Fort Boyle was on the homeplace property of Andrew McMillen, his family still lived there during the battle, and that on this property were the giant train trestles that John Hunt Morgan set out to destroy. Andrew McMillen died 3 months later, a causality of the Civil War at Lebanon, KY of typhoid pneumonia--so his tombstone records. I am doing genealogical research and any help would be greatly appreciated.
