My Great Great Great Grandfather Henry Sloas along with his brother John Sloas and Son Flanklin Sloas rode with this unit.Henry Sloas died at Camp Chase Union Prison for his role in the killing of some union home guards near the Frank Wells Farm in Carter County.John took the oath and fought for the north.I very little information on franklin.Family history is that he died at camp chase also.I would like to learn more.The blevins in the unit along with the skaggs are also kin.My mom maided name is Skaggs.James edward parker also rode with the rangers is also a great great grandfather.My grandmother was Nola Parker.What the odds of two of my great grandfather rode together in the same CSA unit.Its a small world in eastern kentucky.
