Looking on the map the cemeteries are several miles apart but for the standards of the time they would probaly be neighbors of the average distance and still known each others family fairly well. Bear Creek starts west of Dover, about half-way between the Tennessee and Cumberland River, and runs in a northeasterly direction towards the Cumberland north of Dover. The creek is fairly long.
