Edgar Porter Harned of Louisville, founder of the Orphan Brigade Kinfolk Association, passed away on January 16, 2008, at age 88. Porter was a WW2 veteran of the war in the Pacific, and was a member of several societies such as the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Sons of the American Revolution. Porter's research helped many people track down their Civil War ancestors.
